Medical Care

A full time Medical Officer takes care of the well-being of our students in a fully equipped wellness centre. Pediatrician visits the hostel periodically or as and when required to deal with minor accidents/injuries and sickness. In case of emergency, the hostel has tie up with leading hospitals in and around Mehsana/Ahmedabad for immediate care. Round-the-clock medical van facility is available at the hostel for immediate transportation to deal with any medical emergency.

Students undergo thorough general medical check-up at the beginning of the academic year. In addition to this, following check-ups will be done by specialist doctors during the year: Eye check-up, Dental check-up and Skin check-up. CBC & other tests will be done as and when required during sickness from the Pathology Centre in the city area.

Parents must intimate the hostel authorities if any special medical care is to be taken for their ward or any ongoing medication or treatment. Past medical history of any serious or allergic diseases also must be brought to the notice of the hostel wellness authorities.

Parents should inform the hostel authorities if their child is suffering from problem of bed wetting. In such cases, students would first be referred to the counsellor for psychotherapy treatment. All such students would be accommodated in same room with necessary changes required for them to provide proper attention.

Students walking at night in sleep will not be kept in the hostel to avoid accident/incident.

Wellness Centre will provide only first aid to the students; in case of any infectious diseases or serious illness, the parent will have to take the students under their care. In case of medical emergency, on behalf of parents, hostel authority will shift them to the nearest hospital but hostel will not be responsible for any untoward happening. In such case, parents or local guardian must report to the hospital as early as possible.
